My Sister's Bridals

Another take with my new action (Melissa's been telling me about sunshine forever and I finally got it!)

I had the most fun this weekend taking my sister's bridal and engagement photos. She flew me out to Salt Lake for the weekend, yes at 34 weeks I flew to Utah. It was a lot of hard work haulin' around this big belly but I am so glad we got to do it! This is just one I wanted to share, isn't she beautiful... I'm sure there will be more to come!

Good News

I have been extremely neglectful in posting our very wonderful news... Gordon recently started working in a new office just down the street from his old one and it looks to be a great fit for him. We are so excited that he has found someone who shares his love for healing and helping others (and it doesn't hurt that she's right here in good ol' Texas!) Right now he is working with the decompression patients but is looking forward to diving into nutrition, AK, NET, MUA's and all that alternative medicine has to offer in restoring people to optimal health!

Miracles

We got our first miracle and are waiting for our second one!
Dad is home from the hospital and looks much better. It was good to see him this weekend ~still couldn't give him a big squeeze but I will soon :)
The surgery went remarkably well but there is still a lot of cancer left. There are so many ups and downs it is hard so this will probably be the last update for a while. He will start chemo within a week or two for the next four months, and once he has recovered from surgery we are hoping he can get back to his normal activities, maybe even his job.
Right out of surgery and very much 'out of it' he told me, "[he] thinks [his] body is stronger than the cancer." I know he probably doesn't even remember that at all but I believe him, and combined with the power of all of our faith, prayers, and fasting he can conquer anything. Please continue to pray for him and thank you, our family has been so blessed through all of this!

Above and Beyond

I am so proud of my Dad, he's amazing. It is hard to believe he has stage four cancer, it is a scary thing. And this could be my immaturity but I think about how we've been asked to "endure to the end" and I marvel that he is not just doing that, to me he is going above and beyond, he is putting up a fight.
His surgery was successful today and I am grateful the surgeon and staff took such good care of him. They removed part of the colon, stomach, diaphragm and took the gallbladder as well. They will meet with the oncologist this week hopefully so he can start chemo as soon as he is well enough, but the surgeon said he is doing excellent and expects a full recovery from the surgery in two months.
He couldn't talk much after it was done, but you could see he was in bad shape. Still he didn't want any of us there worrying about him.... he wanted us to "go have some fun." That's my Dad :)
Please continue to pray for him, he still needs lots of prayers to get through the recovery. He went through a lot of trauma today and it is going to be very hard.
I am filled with faith and have felt and seen the power of all the prayers on our families behalf so far, thank you.

Prayer Request

This is a picture of my Dad and me on
his 50th birthday this past December.
He was diagnosed with colon cancer
last week and we believe it is very
advanced because of the tumor size
and symptoms he is experiencing.
The outlook is very scary and he has a
rough road ahead of him. He is having
surgery next week to remove the tumor
and will be starting treatment
for the cancer shortly after.
My Dad is brave and strong but we
need your prayers!

We are hoping for a miracle...
